1770 GLASGOW Single Malt Scotch Whisky – Peated Cask Strength
Batch 01 – 1000 bottles – 60.8% ABV
Introducing Glasgow 1770 Peated Cask Strength, The Glasgow Distillery’s popular peated single malt at a natural strength of 60.8% ABV. Distilled with Scottish malted barley that has been peated to 50ppm with mainland peat from Aberdeenshire, Peated has been matured in virgin American white oak and finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks.
For this new Batch 01 release, the distillery has handpicked three hogsheads that truly demonstrate the rich and smoky character that their peated style is known for – these were married together with a limited outturn of 1000 bottles.
Notes of rich BBQ sauce, tobacco leaf and opulent smoked Iberico ham marry with sticky poached plums, dried apricot and flamed orange zest for a truly stunning showcase of the Peated whisky the folks at The Glasgow Distillery are producing.
