1770 GLASGOW Single Malt Scotch Whisky – The Original Cask Strength

Categories: , ,

Batch 01 – 750 bottles – 61.3% ABV

Here we have The Glasgow Distillery’s flagship release presented at a natural cask strength of 61.3% ABV. This single malt has been distilled with unpeated malted barley before maturing in first fill ex-bourbon casks and finishing in heavily charred virgin American white oak from Kelvin Cooperage.

For this first batch, the distillery has handpicked three exemplary casks of The Original and married them together for an outturn of 750 bottles.

At cask strength, the fruity heart that is the defining characteristic of The Original is magnified – with prominent notes of zesty Seville orange marmalade, dried apricot, toffee apple, poached pear and toasted pineapple. A fantastic limited-edition release from this award-winning innovative distillery.
